Waking Up Not Quite Alone

Bonnie sat up with her right arm throbbing, she hissed and looked at the underside of her arm to see the words Freak branded on her skin. She was used to insults as most people saw her as a freak of nature anyway but she had never liked the reminder. She was relieved to note that her clothes were back on and she didn't seem to have any other injuries on her that she could feel or see. The collar she was wearing seemed to cut off her power which only made her feel more vulnerable....she loved her powers but maybe she could try and force the door open. Not with her powers of course but maybe she could use some of the lock picking skills she had picked up from her mother. She wasn't entirely sure she could open the door without a shock but she didn't want to stay cooped up forever. She got up and moved to the door studying it intently, her hand moving to her pocket to take out the hairpins she always took with her wherever she went. She crouched down and started to jiggle the hairpin around as she felt for the lock, it was a work in process and it seemed like she didn't really have to hurry or anything.
